Vanilla Extract GiveawayWho’s ready for some giveaway fun as we approach Christmas? In late October I began dreaming up a gift to say thank you. You’ve encouraged me with your comments and given me hope that this little blog is encouraging you too! I came across a recipe for vanilla extract and thought it might be nice to help stock your pantry for 2014 with homemade vanilla extract (and to help you avoid a last minute trip to the grocery store like when I made muffins in an earlier post). Remember, just because the extract bottle is brown doesn’t mean its vanilla 🙂 But this time it really is!

For a chance to win one of twelve 4oz bottles of homemade vanilla extract:

  1. Follow the blog if you’re a newbie
  2. Leave a comment below with what you would make with the vanilla extract
  3. Follow @cleanandcurvy on Instagram
  4. Share/repost the giveaway image with #cleangiveaway

The giveaway will be open until 6pm on December 12th. You may share/repost the image once per day on Instagram. Be sure to include #cleangiveaway with the photo. Winners will be contacted via email and announced in a blog post on the evening of December 12th. Shipping to US addresses only. Good luck!

  1. I love vanilla. I usually use the real stuff in my baking, as it was easy to buy cheap when we were in Texas and we also had dear friends who would bring us vanilla straight from Mexico! Very excited to try the homemade vanilla extract!!!

Vanilla is our “secret” ingredient to add whenever we need to make homemade whip cream for something. I think I will use it to make just that for some hot chocolate during the long, cold winter:-):-)

  2. Vanilla has many uses in our home. A drop in a glass of Pepsi to cut the caffeine taste. Can’t make fudge without it! A little dab at the hairline on the back of your neck for a quick perfume. A drop or two in a simmering pot of water on the stove to give the whole house that fresh baking aroma. We just love it.

First off….love the snow on the blog site. 🙂 I would love to try the homemade vanilla in my holiday pecan pie or banana NUT bread. Would like to taste the difference between this and store bought brands. Looking forward to cooking for my visiting family this Christmas and since my sister’s birthday is just before Christmas, could use it in her pecan pie, which to her is her favorite birthday cake. 🙂 Have been inspired by this blog and have been eating more clean for about a month now and have shed 7 pounds without “dieting”. Please continue to post for us!!!

    • Pecan pie – such a yummy holiday treat! WAY TO GO on a month of eating more clean! Noticed any difference in your sleeping, energy level or skin? Thank you for the encouragement and for sharing about your journey to clean eating! Merry Christmas.
